4 things people fail to learn in their 20s and regret for later
20s is all about building up a career, learning new things, having fun, searching for a job & getting a clear picture of how your life is going to be. If you have just entered your 20s or in the midst of it, this blog is dedicated to you.
This adulthood would be absolutely fascinating,
but hold on because there are 4 significant things you should learn now before
you regret for it later.
1. FOLLOW A STRICT FITNESS REGIME
You might be thinking hitting the gym or working
out is only to lose weight or build body. All of you would be extremely healthy
now & think you are too young to work out.
If you don’t make that a habit from now, you’ll
never do it in the near future. We live in a fast paced world, eating junk,
packaged, tinned and processed foods. If not now, all these would take toll on
your health one day.
Out of the 168 hours in a week, can’t you spare 2-3 hours for your health & longevity? Choose what interests you the most like Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Weight training, Pranayama, Aerobics, crossfit or hit the gym. Whatever you are doing, do it regularly and consistenly.

2. DON’T RELY ON A SINGLE SOURCE OF INCOME
90% of the graduating population always aim for
a well-paying job and want to get settled with it. How about having multiple
income streams wherein you don’t have to rely on just one?
This is the right time to prepare for a
profitable side income. Understand your niche first.
You might be wanting to start a YouTube channel, set up an online business, passionate about teaching, interested in photography, writing or even music. Research what people in your niche are doing to earn and give your dreams a chance to live.

3. SAVINGS & INVESTMENTS ARE AS
IMPORTANT AS EARNINGS
People start to chase money after a certain
point in life. You may be earning in thousands, lakhs or crores, but if you
don’t know THE ART OF MONEY MULTIPLICATION, all your hard work goes in vain.
Here are few absolute requirements when you deal
with money:
• Invest in mutual funds, stock
markets, FDs, RDs, bonds and let you money grow over the years.
• Set aside for an emergency fund
• Save & plan prior for a yearly family
vacation. There are plenty of places in the world you still haven’t seen.
• Get a mediclaim for yourself and your
family members. Medical emergencies may come anytime.
4. MAKE WISE CHOICES OF THE MATERIALISTIC THINGS YOU WANT
TO OWN
Most of the people in their 20s are highly attracted to buy
materialistic things. As soon as you start to earn, you are urged to buy a
brand new two-wheeler\car, get the latest model smartphone\laptop.
That’s when people fall into the EMI trap. EMIs are MONEY TRAPS created by MNCs for people like you and me who can’t wait longer but want them immediately.
If you are planning to purchase a commodity which is going to cost
you more then INR 50,000, plan for it well in advance. Do the best ground work
you can. Check for the best available options & make comparisons.
You can invest in SIPs (Systematic Investment Plan) to plan for such huge payments. Money will be automatically deducted from your bank account & credited to the SIP account every month. SIPs start from as low as INR 500 every month.
Once you feel the required amount has accumulated, withdraw & make the purchase. It's best to wait for few months and buy but never fall in the EMI trap. Apps like ETMONEY, Groww, and Sqrrl can help you out.

Well..!! I would want to conclude by saying 'The future is always uncertain'. Everything doesn't happen the way you expected it to be. From fitness to finances you should prepare yourself for the best & worst.
